Paul Curd

I'm an author and creative writing tutor . . .

I studied creative writing at the University of Kent at Canterbury, graduating in 2005. Since then, I have had around thirty short stories published in the UK and abroad. Several of my poems have been published in the small press. My novel The Belfast Boy was shortlisted for the Crime Writers’ Association 2006 Debut Dagger Award and is currently with a publisher. My subsequent novel, An Honourable Man, was one of the 100 winners of the Writers' & Artists' Yearbook 2007 novel writing competition.

I am Chair of Deal Writers, a flourishing group based in the East Kent seaside town. I run workshops and seminars on the art of fiction and am a founder member of Word Fountain, a co-operative group of writers who teach creative writing. I also review books for The Bookbag.
